(North Vancouver) Grouse Mountain is pleased to announce that the Resort will open for the 2020/21 winter season with limited terrain on Friday, November 20th. Skiing and riding will be available on Peak, Heaven’s Sake and Paradise from 1pm to 9pm on Friday and 9am to 9pm beginning Saturday, November 21st.

“We are happy to safely welcome skiers and riders back to the slopes for the start of the winter season at the Peak of Vancouver®,” said Grouse Mountain’s Director of Mountain Operations, Grant Wahl. “The health and safety of our guests is our top priority and we have a number of new protocols in place including mandatory advance Skyride reservations, reduced capacity on the Skyride as well as requiring face coverings inside all Resort facilities as well as in areas where physical distancing cannot be maintained.”

In line with Grouse Mountain’s PureClean Commitment to health and safety, skiers and riders can expect a number of new protocols in place for the winter season. Advance Skyride reservations are required for all access to and from the Mountain. Advance online ticket purchase is recommended to reduce lineups and interaction. Capacity on the Skyride is also reduced.

Face coverings are required inside all Resort facilities as well as in areas where physical distancing cannot be maintained including while queuing, loading and riding on the Skyride and chairlifts. Individual chairs will be limited to families or household groups who are riding together.

In addition, physical distancing measures are in place throughout the Resort. Hand sanitizer stations are available to guests and increased sanitization and scheduled cleanings are being conducted in all areas of the Resort.
