(North Vancouver) With sun and warm temperatures in the forecast for the Victoria Day long weekend, Grouse Mountain is pleased to announce that their annual summer activities will officially launch this Saturday, May 16 from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Peak of Vancouver.

Mountaintop activities include visits with Grouse Mountain’s grizzly bears Grinder and Coola in their five-acre habitat, an opportunity to see majestic birds of prey during a Birds in Motion demonstration, the dazzling axe-wielding expertise of the world-famous Lumberjack Show, movies in the Theatre in the Sky, dining, shopping and much more.

In addition, Grouse Mountain visitors can take in a 360-degree view from the Eye of the Wind, enjoy heart-pounding excitement on a five-line Mountain Ziplines tour and book a Heli-Tour for a bird’s-eye view of Vancouver.

“Summer has arrived at Grouse Mountain and we are very excited to kick off the long weekend with another season of adventure at the Peak of Vancouver,” said Grouse Mountain general manager Michael Cameron. “With a variety of activities for the whole family, there is no better way to create special memories this summer than by enjoying everything our mountaintop has to offer.”

In mid-June, Grouse Mountain will launch their Small Wonders summer programming dedicated to exploring everything there is to know about the mountaintop’s tiniest inhabitants including honeybees, hummingbirds, salamandars, butterflies, dragonflies, bats, barn swallows and pikas. Small Wonders will include hive tours, a bee interpretive centre, pollinators’ garden and more.
