(North Vancouver) It’s time to hit the slopes; Grouse Mountain will officially open tomorrow, November 26th at 9:00 am for skiing and riding. Saturday marks the start of the 90th winter season at Grouse Mountain.

Following this week’s snowfall on the North Shore combined with colder temperatures that allowed us to fire up snowmaking, Paradise Bowl will be opening with access via the Greenway Chair as well as Heaven’s Sake with access via the Peak Chair. Skiing and riding will be available during regular operating hours from 9am to 10pm.

“Thanks to the recent snowfall we’re thrilled to officially kick off our 90th winter season,” said Grouse Mountain Alpine Operations Manager Grant Wahl. “Mother Nature delivered over 40cm of snow in the past week and with cold temperatures continuing in the forecast, we’ll be working hard to open up more terrain for skiing and riding soon.”

The recent snowfall is also good news for local snowshoers. The Snowshoe Grind and Blue Grouse Loop will also be opening tomorrow, November 29th at 9:00am with access via the Skyride.

Enhancements for the 2016/17 winter season include Canada’s first natural feature terrain park, Grouse Woods™, as well as newly available glade runs through the tree islands between Expo and Centennial as well as on Peak. The popular Light Walk returns this winter with new light installations including a 23 ft. deer, light walls and hoop fixtures.
