Celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday at Grouse Mountain
Take part in history at the Guinness World Record attempt for ‘Largest Human Maple Leaf’

(North Vancouver) In celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday, Grouse Mountain is thrilled to announce special festivities planned for July 1st at the Peak of Vancouver. As part of the celebrations, Grouse Mountain invites guests to make history as the Resort attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human maple leaf.
“We are excited to embrace Canadiana as we invite guests to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday with us at the Peak of Vancouver” said Julia Grant, Grouse Mountain’s Communications Manager. “With special activities like axe-throwing, a Canada 150 edition of our World Famous Lumberjack Show and an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest human maple leaf; Grouse Mountain is your ultimate Canada Day destination!”
In order to participate in the Guinness World Record attempt, guests will need to don their finest red attire and join us on the Mountain at the top of The Cut at 1pm on Saturday July 1st.
With an exciting lineup of activities for guests of all ages, Canada Day celebrations include axe-throwing, a hockey puck shoot out, photos with mascot Grizwald the Bear and live music in a barbeque and beer garden. Not to be missed are the special Canada 150 edition of the World Famous Lumberjack Show, Ranger Talks at the Grizzly Bear habitat, Birds in Motion demonstration and more.
After working up an appetite guests can enjoy special Canada Day food features at Altitudes Bistro and the Rusty Rail BBQ including a Poutine Burger and traditional smoked meat sandwich.
