9th Annual Snowshoe Grind™ Mountain Run Celebrates Personal Achievement on the Trail
Snowshoers of all ages enjoy a fantastic morning at the Peak of Vancouver

(North Vancouver) Sunshine and excellent conditions on the trail greeted enthusiastic snowshoers at the 9th annual Snowshoe Grind™ Mountain Run presented by VPG Realty. Close to 100 participants enjoyed the fresh mountain air as they took on the five kilometre route that includes the Snowshoe Grind trail.
“We were excited to see all levels of snowshoers out on the trail at this year’s Snowshoe Grind Mountain Run,” said Grouse Mountain’s Events Manager, Mallory Newman. “Not only did participants enjoy a fun morning of outdoor activity but this year’s event also provided an opportunity to support Jack.org and their mission to train and empower young leaders to revolutionize mental health.”
The 2019 Snowshoe Grind Mountain Run also celebrated some exceptional personal achievements. Shaun Stephens-Whale took top honours for the second consecutive year with a time of 27:06. Following in second place was Samuel Perrin at 31:14 and Ian Robertson rounded out third place with a time of 31:51. In the women's category, Keri McKenzie took the top spot with a time of 37:36. Kristina Macdonald and Samantha Daigneault rounded out the women’s group with times of 41:13 and 43:25 respectively.
Now sanctioned by Snowshoe Canada, the Snowshoe Grind Mountain Run is the only snowshoe race of its kind in Vancouver and welcomes participants across a wide range of ages and abilities.
