Grouse Grind Trail Upgrade Work Starts September 5

As of September 5, 2023, transformational upgrade work will begin within Grouse Mountain Regional Park on the Grouse Grind Trail. These upgrades, led by Metro Vancouver, will see major improvements to the trailhead, as well as to other sections of the trail making for a more enjoyable and sustainable hiking experience.
New Adventure Awaits - Battle the BCMC
During this exciting upgrade period, we invite you to tackle the BCMC trail which also exits at the top of Grouse Mountain. The BCMC has already received extensive upgrades earlier this year. Accessible via a conveniently located trailhead just 250 meters east of the Grouse Grind Trailhead in Parking Lot D, the BCMC Route promises to provide you with a fresh hiking and fitness challenge. Embrace the thrill of a new adventure to The Peak of Vancouver.
During the month of September, celebrate your summit with F&B specials available at Altitudes Bistro, epic views and live music on select days.
The upgrade work taking place on the Grouse Grind Trail by Metro Vancouver supports the continued improvement in the world-class experience Grouse Mountain offers, which includes the opening of a state-of-the-art gondola in winter 2025, heralding a new chapter for the Resort leading up to our 100th anniversary in 2026. These developments ensure Vancouver’s number one natural attraction is accessible for generations to come.
