It’s official – the Grouse Grind will open for the season on Saturday, April 27th at 7:00am!

800 metres of elevation, 2,830 steps and 2.5 kilometres await you. Grab your hiking shoes and take on Mother Nature's Stairmaster! This is a challenging trail - be sure to bring lots of water, wear weather-appropriate clothing, and take breaks along the trail as needed.

The reopening of the Grouse Grind marks the end of extensive transformation by Metro Vancouver Regional Parks providing a safer and more enjoyable experience for hikers. This includes new trailhead entrance with improved access, new seating, a water fountain, stretching bars, and better access for first responders. The project also saw the replacement of a foot bridge over a creek near the one-quarter mark, and environmental restoration.

If you are hiking up the Grouse Grind, purchase a Download Ticket for your Skyride trip down the mountain. Downhill hiking is not permitted. Buy your Download Ticket online in advance to save!
